Terms of service

1. About us
This website and online store are operated under the trading name DOR 4x4 Parts by Danells Off-Road Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15548120.
Our registered office is 23 Derwood Grove, Peterborough, England, PE4 5DD, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@dor4x4parts.co.uk or 07519 720491.
2. These terms
These terms apply when you use our website or buy goods from us. Please read them before placing an order. They should be read with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights. A consumer is an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside that person's trade, business, craft or profession.
3. Product information and compatibility
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Images are illustrative and colours, finishes and minor details may vary because of screen settings, production changes, material batches or the handmade nature of a product. Measurements and weights may be approximate unless we state that they are exact.
Vehicle models can vary by year, market, trim, engine, chassis and previous modification. You are responsible for checking the product description and providing complete, accurate vehicle and fitment information. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure about compatibility. Any specific fitment advice we confirm in writing becomes part of the product description for your order.
We may make minor changes that do not materially affect a product's function or appearance, including changes needed to comply with law or improve safety or performance. We will seek your agreement before making a material substitution.
4. Placing an order and contract formation
Your order is an offer to buy the products in your basket. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we received the order; it does not by itself mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we send an express acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or when we begin agreed custom manufacture, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance, for example if a product is unavailable, the price or description contains an obvious error, we cannot deliver to the address supplied, we cannot authorise payment, or we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful use. If payment has already been taken, we will refund it.
You must provide accurate contact, billing, delivery and vehicle information and keep those details up to date until the order is completed.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed by the store. Delivery charges and any other charges collected by us are shown before you submit the order.
Danells Off-Road Ltd is not currently registered for UK VAT and does not charge UK VAT. We will update the information shown at checkout and on our documents if our VAT status changes.
For international orders, import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees and similar destination charges are not included unless checkout expressly says otherwise. These charges are the recipient's responsibility.
Payment is due using one of the methods offered at checkout. We may use third-party payment providers to process the transaction. If we discover an obvious pricing error before acceptance, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Availability, manufacture and dispatch
Product availability is subject to change. If we cannot supply an item after accepting your order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative, revised timeframe or refund.
- Stocked products are normally dispatched within 3 working days.
- Made-to-order, custom and bespoke products are normally dispatched within 2 working weeks.
These are dispatch estimates, not carrier delivery times. A working day is Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England. If a different lead time applies, we will show it on the product page or agree it with you before accepting the order.
7. Delivery
Delivery options, estimates and charges are shown at checkout. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made. An agreed production or delivery period longer than 30 days forms part of the contract.
If you are a consumer and we arrange delivery, the goods remain at our risk until they are in the physical possession of you or a person you nominated to receive them. If you appoint a carrier that we did not offer, risk passes when the goods are delivered to that carrier, as provided by law.
Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received full payment, but this does not change the consumer risk rules above.
8. International orders
We intend to deliver internationally wherever a suitable service is available. You are responsible for checking that a product may lawfully be imported, installed and used in the destination country. Customs authorities may inspect or delay a shipment. We are not responsible for charges or delays imposed by customs or other public authorities, but this does not affect rights you have where we fail to perform our obligations.
9. Consumer cancellation and returns
If you are a consumer buying online, you normally have 14 calendar days after delivery to tell us that you wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 calendar days to return the goods. Our Refund Policy explains how to cancel, return an item and obtain a refund.
Standard products do not lose the cancellation right merely because they are manufactured or assembled after an order is placed.
10. Custom and personalised goods
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you. We will identify or agree genuinely bespoke features before accepting the order. Once accepted, a bespoke specification cannot normally be changed unless we agree in writing.
This exception does not limit your rights if custom goods are faulty, not as described, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
11. Faulty or misdescribed goods
We are responsible for supplying goods that conform to the contract. Consumers have legal remedies where goods are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, unfit for a disclosed purpose or not as described. Depending on the circumstances, these may include a short-term right to reject, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Contact us promptly if you believe a product does not conform. Our Refund Policy provides the return procedure. Any voluntary product or manufacturer warranty is additional to, and does not replace, statutory rights.
12. Installation, modification and lawful use
Off-road and vehicle components can affect handling, braking, steering, suspension, structural integrity, ground clearance, emissions, lighting, insurance, warranty and road legality. Products must be selected, installed, inspected, maintained and used appropriately for the vehicle and intended application.
Unless a product is expressly described as suitable for owner installation, we recommend installation by a suitably competent person using the correct tools, procedures and torque settings. Installation instructions and website content are general information and do not replace vehicle-specific professional judgment.
You are responsible for checking applicable vehicle construction, road-use, motorsport, inspection, insurance and registration requirements. A product described for off-road or competition use must not be used on a public road unless that use is lawful.
Nothing in this section excludes our responsibility for a defective product, inaccurate description, negligent advice or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Our responsibility to consumers
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed.
We supply consumer products for private use. If you use them for a commercial purpose, we are not responsible under a consumer contract for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, defective products under applicable law, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
14. Business customers
If you buy wholly or mainly for your trade, business, craft or profession, consumer cancellation rights do not apply. Any quotation, specification or separately agreed trade terms also form part of the contract. If there is a conflict, a term expressly agreed with you in writing for that order takes priority.
Subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss under a business contract. We do not exclude liability for failing to supply goods that conform to an expressly agreed specification.
15. Website use
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not attempt to damage, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts, systems or data; introduce malicious code; scrape the site in a way that unreasonably burdens it; or use its content fraudulently.
We may suspend or withdraw website access for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors, but this does not affect an accepted order.
16. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website design, text, graphics, photographs, video, logos, product names and other original content belong to Danells Off-Road Ltd or are used with permission. You may view and make a copy for personal purchasing purposes. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit the content without written permission or another lawful basis.
Vehicle manufacturer names and marks may belong to their respective owners. Their use for compatibility or identification does not imply endorsement unless we expressly state otherwise.
17. Personal information
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Our store and checkout may also be provided by Shopify and other service providers whose technology is needed to process orders and operate the website.
18. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. We will contact affected customers as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect. If there is a substantial delay, you may have the right to end the contract and receive a refund for goods not supplied.
19. General
If a court or relevant authority finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining parts continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. You may transfer your rights under these terms where the law allows; we may transfer our rights and obligations only where this does not reduce your protections.
No person other than you and us has a right to enforce these terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms and our contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country or part of the United Kingdom.
Consumers resident in England or Wales may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. Consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts. International consumers may have additional mandatory rights to bring a claim where they live.
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern directly.
21. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when your order is accepted apply to that order unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.
